Welcome back from Spring Break!! I hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable break! We're entering into our final unit before EOGs and I think y'all are really going to enjoy this one because YOU get to chose what you read (YAY)!! Remember, novels need to be selected and approved by a parent/guardian by THURSDAY APRIL 20th! Dont' forget to have your parent/guardian sign the permission form attached to the project overview.
We are continuing with our Writer's Workshop. Papers are due FRIDAY!!

Thursday Update: We are posting papers on our blog today. We will be in computer lab 2015 today. Papers are due tomorrow (on blogs), and we will begin discussing our presentations!!
It's Writing Workshop time!
We will be "workshopping" our research papers this week. Today, I modeled how to organize your research. See here for the example I did in class today.
I will continue to model strategies in class and post examples here throughout the week.
Tuesday Update: Today I modeled starting papers and writing the introduction section. Here is my example.

Also, Wake County changed the log in process to a single log on system. First period tried to log in, and around 7:45 the system crashed!! Yayyy Technology :))). So, if you were not able to get logged in today in class, please try at home. This is how you will be able to access PowerSchools, Google Drive, and your weebly pages!
1. Students will go to https://wakeid.wcpss.net
2.log in with your wake ID (ex. gshelow) ando use your student ID number as your password.
3. You will then be prompted to change your password. I strongly suggest Mustangs1 (so that if your forget it, I can help you).
