Hello and welcome to my classroom page! A little bit about me, I'm a UNC alum (Go Heels!) and have a Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction, New Literacies and Global Learning, Secondary English from NC State. And yes, that is officially the longest title for a Masters degree maybe ever. I'm an avid hiker and enjoy spending time on the trails with my husband, our son, and our two pups, Knox and Nala. I also like to travel and explore new places and cultures. So far, my favorite place to travel has been the Isle of Skye in Scotland (pictured below). In addition to teaching at Broughton HS, I coach the swim and dive team. In my classroom, you'll find we have a lot of discussions, and I enjoy using what we read as a means to exploring the world around us -- whether that be history, current events, scientific questions, or our own lives. If you'd like to learn more about me, you can check out my resume (PDF linked below) or continue perusing this site!
